Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Nowmark is a service of Batshele Marketing CC, the responsible party for all personal information processed through this service. Our Information Officer is registered with the Information Regulator (South Africa) under registration number 2026-062834 (registered 23 July 2026).

2. What we collect

• Account: name, email, password hash.
• Profile: date of birth, country, life-expectancy preferences.
• Reflections: your written notes, goals, daily tasks, snapshot scores and weekly radar check-ins.
• Technical: device, browser, IP address, log data.

3. Why we process it

• To run the service you signed up for.
• To compute your nowmark, scores and matched providers.
• To audit consent and meet our legal obligations.
• With your explicit, separate consent: to share your details with a provider you choose.

4. Sharing with providers

We never share your name, email, or phone with a provider unless you tick the explicit "Share my contact details" box when you click Connect me. By default, providers see only your dimension, score band, and region. Every consent event is logged and you can revoke it from your privacy controls.

5. Where it's stored

Data is processed on AWS infrastructure operated under our cloud hosting provider. We will notify you if data residency arrangements change materially.

6. Your rights under POPIA

• Access — request a copy of your data (use the Export button on the dashboard).
• Correction — edit your reflections, goals and scores at any time.
• Deletion — wipe your account permanently from privacy controls.
• Object to processing or lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

7. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. On deletion, identifiable rows are removed within 30 days, except entries required for legal audit (consent log, billing).

9. Email we send you

We send only account and service email: verification and password links, your welcome message, plan reminders you switch on, goal and birthday marks, and replies to your support messages. Every message names Batshele Marketing CC as responsible party, our Information Regulator registration number and our Information Officer, and carries a one-click unsubscribe for anything you opted into. We do not send marketing or newsletters, and we never sell or share your address.
