By using Nowmark you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Not professional advice

Nowmark is a self-reflection tool. It is not medical, legal, or financial advice. Use it alongside qualified professionals — not instead of them.

2. Provider listings

Providers listed on the platform are independent businesses. We screen them for category accuracy but do not warrant their work. Engaging a provider is a contract between you and them.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of your reflections, goals and scores. You grant us a limited licence to host, process and display them inside your own account.

4. Acceptable use

No abuse, scraping, reverse-engineering, or content that violates the law or another person's rights.

5. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from privacy controls. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Nowmark is provided "as is" without warranties. Our liability is limited to fees paid in the 12 months preceding a claim.

7. Data sources, validation & life-expectancy disclaimer

Where Nowmark shows a national life-expectancy figure, that figure is drawn from a curated reference table sourced from the World Bank — World Development Indicators (SP.DYN.LE00.IN — Life expectancy at birth, total (years)). Dataset vintage: 2023 estimates. Last verified by Nowmark: 21 May 2026. The source dataset is available at https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SP.DYN.LE00.IN.

Every figure — whether taken from the reference table or entered by you — is validated against a plausibility range of 40–95 years. Figures outside that range are flagged in the app and are not treated as reliable.

Important: Life-expectancy figures are national population averages at birth, not personal predictions. Nowmark does not estimate your individual lifespan and gives no medical, financial or legal advice. A life-expectancy-at-birth figure is a national cohort average for people born in a given period. It does not account for your health, genetics, occupation, income, location or behaviour, and it systematically understates remaining years for people who have already reached mid-life. Nowmark uses no actuarial mortality table, no health record and no biometric data, and it does not calculate, predict or estimate your individual lifespan. The Life-Line, the "active years ahead" horizon and every derived number are reflection and planning prompts only. Do not make medical, financial, insurance, legal or life decisions on the basis of these figures — consult a qualified professional.

Third-party data may be revised, restated or withdrawn by its publisher at any time. We update the reference table periodically and record a verification date, but we do not warrant the accuracy, completeness or currency of third-party data.

8. Intellectual property & the Life-Line methodology

The platform, its source code, copy, prompts, imagery, the Life · — • — · Line visualisation and visual grammar, the reflection and scoring questions, the reward and nudge systems, and the underlying Life-Line methodology — including all formulae, band boundaries, weightings, thresholds, scoring curves and provider-matching heuristics — are the proprietary work of Batshele Marketing CC trading as Nowmark, protected by the South African Copyright Act 98 of 1978 and equivalent international conventions (Berne). The methodology and its formulae are additionally maintained as confidential trade secrets and are documented internally under controlled access.

"Nowmark" and the Life · — • — · Line wordmark and device are trademarks (™) of Nowmark, with applications pending in the Republic of South Africa.

You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the platform for your own reflection and planning. You may not copy, reproduce, adapt, translate, publish, distribute, frame, scrape, data-mine, benchmark, sublicense, sell, reverse-engineer or decompile any part of the platform or methodology, nor create derivative or competing works from it, nor remove or obscure any proprietary notice. Screenshots for personal use and ordinary linking are permitted; commercial or systematic reuse is not.
