Our verification standard
Nowmark is a directory of independent professionals. Before any provider's listing appears, their credentials are checked against the standard below. This page is maintained by Nowmark and describes the controls we operate today — not an independent audit or certification.

A Nowmark admin has checked the provider's submission: registering body, registration / practice number, professional title, and a credential proof document (e.g. registration certificate).
- Number matches the format used by the registering body.
- Uploaded proof is legible and names the same person/business.
- Listings only go live after review passes.
What it is not: a guarantee of current registration status, insurance cover, quality of service, or fitness to practise. Always confirm directly with the regulator before engaging.
Verified against a regulator register
On top of the Reviewed checks, the provider's registration number was matched against the regulator's public register and confirmed active. Re-checked on a recurring schedule.
- FSCA (financial advisors / FSPs) — automated daily cross-check.
- Other bodies (HPCSA, SANC, SAICA, SACAP, LPC) — manual lookup against the public register at review time; automated checks added as registers become machine-readable.
What it is not: an endorsement, recommendation, or warranty. The regulator's listing reflects registration only, not service quality or outcomes.

If you believe a listing misrepresents credentials, registration status, or qualifications, tell us and we will pause the listing while we investigate. Email support@nowmark.co.za.
